A Photographer
As a photographer, I am deeply drawn to the medium’s ability to express the spiritual experience of sentient existence. My work is inspired by the teachings of the Diamond Sutra and the Buddhist view of reality, contemplating how truths of these can be expressed through the mindful practice of photography. I believe that photography, when approached with empathic presence and detachment, can transcend intellectualization and emotion—becoming a medium with infinite potential as Ansel Adam once suggested.
Before becoming a photographer, I served as a police officer with the NYPD. In that role, I bore witness to the often masked reality of actual human condition. This experience has profoundly shaped my perspective, forcing me to look beneath the surface of conditioned narratives and to see life in all its illusive nature. Photography has become my way of seeing relative and absolute truth.
Commissioning Your Photography
To reserve and secure the date & time for your photography, I ask online credit card payment prior to the event. The payment upon scheduling ensures that I can commit the necessary resources, time, and plan to fulfill the service. All aspects of photo assignments are fulfilled by me and no part of the production is outsourced. All photographic data during a shoot is safely recorded and stored with redundancy backup to minimize the risk of data loss. No images from commissioned photo-shoots are ever shared on any social media platform.
Fees are not based on hourly but by the actual scope and needs of your photo project. Please contact me using the Google form below and include a brief description of how I can be of service.
Most rights management package includes general editorial usages adequate for most publication needs including social media platforms. Commercial/marketing use may require model release.
As a licensed business based in Philadelphia, liability insurance coverage is available for event venues requiring an additional general liability coverage for onsite photography.
